01 · Meaning
What are cookies and similar technologies?
Cookies are small text files that a website asks a browser to store. They can remember a choice during one visit or across later visits. Orbace may also use browser local storage, pixels, tags, software development kits, app-instance identifiers, or mobile advertising identifiers for similar purposes.
Some technologies are set directly by Orbace. Others are set or read by providers that help deliver hosting, security, analytics, or advertising. Those providers may process information under their own privacy policies.
02 · Purpose
How Orbace uses these technologies
- Necessary: deliver pages, protect the service, remember consent, and support core puzzle functions.
- Preferences: remember appearance, region, puzzle state, notes, or other settings.
- Analytics: measure visits, navigation, feature use, reliability, and errors so we can improve Orbace.
- Advertising: deliver, limit, personalize where permitted, and measure ads on eligible pages or app versions.
Orbace does not use advertising technologies to place ads inside Sudoku controls or intentionally encourage accidental clicks.
03 · Inventory
Technology and provider inventory
The exact names and durations visible to you can vary by region, browser, consent choice, and the providers active at the time of your visit. The consent center is the authoritative live list when it is available.
| Provider or owner | Category | Typical purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Orbace Sudoku | Necessary / preferences | Consent record, puzzle state, settings, security, and session continuity. | Session or until cleared; persistent preferences may last longer. |
| Hosting and security provider | Necessary | Network delivery, abuse prevention, reliability, and request logs. | According to provider configuration and security needs. |
| Google Analytics, when enabled | Analytics | Aggregated site usage, traffic sources, performance, and engagement. | According to the live consent configuration. |
| Google AdSense / Google advertising, when enabled | Advertising | Ad delivery, fraud prevention, frequency limits, and measurement; personalization only where allowed and consented. | According to Google settings and the live consent configuration. |
For information about Google’s handling of information from sites and apps that use its services, review How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
04 · Control
Your cookie choices
Manage consent
Use the “Privacy choices” or “Cookie settings” control displayed on the website to accept, reject, or revise non-essential categories. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that occurred before withdrawal.
You can also delete cookies and site data through your browser. Blocking necessary storage may prevent saved puzzle state, consent records, or sign-in features from working correctly. Mobile operating systems provide separate controls for advertising identifiers and tracking permissions.
Browser “Do Not Track” signals are not interpreted consistently across the industry. Where required and technically supported, Orbace honors legally recognized opt-out preference signals such as Global Privacy Control.
05 · Applications
Mobile apps
Mobile applications do not use browser cookies in exactly the same way as a website, but may use local app storage, app-instance identifiers, diagnostic SDKs, or advertising identifiers. Offline puzzle information may remain only on your device; connected, analytics, support, or advertising features may transmit limited information as explained in the Privacy Policy and the applicable app-store disclosure.
06 · Updates
Changes to this policy
We may revise this page when technologies, providers, products, or legal requirements change. We will update the date above and provide additional notice when appropriate.
